You head back to Neverwinter.
Unfortunetly, you never find Gundren.
After a few months you hear that Phandalin has been over run by
the Black Spider Cultists. Come to find out Gundren was trying
to stop them from taking over Phandalin and the magics of
Wave Echo Cave. You should have completed your quest.
